Installation

1. Install the component package via Extensions → Manage → Install.
2. Open Components → NXCart to verify it loads.
3. Go to System → Manage → Extensions → NXCart → Options and set your base currency.
4. Configure payment gateways (Stripe/PayPal), tax, and shipping rules.
5. Create your first product and publish the shop menu item.

After installing

The package bundles two storefront modules and two plugins alongside the component:

• Already enabled for you (fresh installs): the account linker (plg_user_nxcartaccounts — claims a guest's past orders when they register or log in) and the stale-order cleanup task (plg_task_nxcartcleanup). No action needed; an update never re-enables a plugin you've deliberately switched off.
• Cleanup still needs a schedule. The cleanup plugin only runs once you enable Stale order cleanup in Settings → General and create a NXCart - Stale Order Cleanup task under System → Scheduled Tasks. See Stale order cleanup.
• Place the storefront modules yourself. The mini-cart (mod_nxcart_cart) and product grid (mod_nxcart_products) install but stay hidden until you add a module in Content → Site Modules, choose a layout and position, and publish it. See Storefront.
