License activation

After installing the Pro package you need to activate your license key once per site. Activation links your installation to your account and unlocks Pro features in the builder.

Activate a key

1. In the Joomla administrator, open Easy Forms → License.
2. Paste the license key from your nexusplugins.com account.
3. Click Activate.

When activation succeeds the screen shows the license status, plan, expiry date, and the domain that was matched on the server.

TIP

Pro features are gated behind the license being active. They light up immediately after a successful activation — no logout or page refresh required.

License screen at a glance

The license screen has three cards:

• Status — current license state (valid, expired, disabled, domain_mismatch, unreachable, etc.) with a renewal call-to-action when relevant.
• Actions — Activate / Refresh / Deactivate this installation.
• Identity — the site URL, normalised domain, instance ID, and Pro plugin version that this installation reports to the licensing server. Quote these in support requests.

Refresh, deactivate, move

• Refresh revalidates the cached license state against the server. Use it after a manual subscription change.
• Deactivate this installation clears the local key and disables Pro features on this site.

What happens when…

Situation	Behaviour
Subscription expires	Existing Pro configuration keeps working. New Pro features cannot be enabled, and updates/downloads are blocked until renewal.
Domain doesn't match	Pro features stay locked on this domain. Saved Pro configuration is preserved untouched.
Backend unreachable	Last-known-good state continues to apply. The screen shows an unreachable notice.
License key is wrong	Activation fails with a clear error. Nothing is saved.

Troubleshooting

If activation keeps failing, double-check that the licensing API is reachable from your server (outbound HTTPS to nexusplugins.com) and that the key has not been deactivated from the customer dashboard.
