Setup Health

Setup Health reviews the technical setup across discovery, pre-consent protection, consent choices, integrations, and maintenance. It combines automatic findings with a separate checklist you confirm in a browser.

Run a review

  1. Open Components → NexusConsent PRO → Health.
  2. Choose Run checks.
  3. Start with Show problems and open See what to do beside a finding.
  4. Make the suggested change in Services, Options, the consent plugin, or Joomla scheduler settings.
  5. Choose Check again after changes, or run all checks again.

Checks use saved settings and scan data. They do not scan new pages or change consent rules. If a finding needs new discovery, its action opens the scan screen. Retests require Scan permission and usable license access.

Completed scans and rule publications also refresh Health. If the refresh fails, the original action still succeeds and the older review is marked stale.

Understand the result

  • Passed: an automatic check found the expected technical state.
  • Needs attention: a check found a problem, with evidence and a next step.
  • Not checked: there is insufficient evidence or a browser check remains; this is different from a failed check.
  • Not applicable: the check does not apply to the current configuration.

The setup score comes from applicable automatic checks. Missing evidence is not counted as a pass. Browser confirmations stay separate from that score. An unresolved critical automatic finding caps the score at 49%, so other passes cannot hide a critical protection problem.

Browser checklist

Use Open browser checklist or the browser-check section to see what still needs your observation. Test the actual public website, then use Check and confirm to record what happened.

Typical checks include pre-consent blocking, consent updates, revocation, keyboard access, multilingual text, vendor signal behavior, and external-cache behavior. Recording a browser confirmation does not turn it into an automatically observed result or increase the automatic setup score.

Record a review or pause a reminder

Within a finding, you can record that it was reviewed or temporarily ignore it with a reason and expiry. These actions record a decision; they do not repair the underlying setup or turn a failed check into a pass.

Keep the reason specific enough that another administrator can understand what still needs attention.

Printable report

Open the printable review from Health and use your browser's Print or Save as PDF. The report includes the dated result, score, evidence limits, and review history. Existing saved reports remain readable when license access lapses.

Setup Health is a technical setup review, not a certificate of legal compliance. A high score does not replace manual browser checks, correct policy text, or the site owner's legal assessment.
