License Activation
Manage your installation under Components → NexusConsent PRO → License. Your account needs Manage License permission for license actions.
Activate a key
- Enter your NexusConsent Pro license key.
- Choose Activate license.
- Check the status, domain assignment, expiry, and last verification time.
The full key is not shown again after submission; the screen displays a masked stored key. Site URL, domain, and installation ID come from Joomla and cannot be edited here.
Refresh, deactivate, or move
- Refresh status rechecks an existing activation, for example after renewal.
- Deactivate license stops this installation's authorization token. Established consent protection stays in place.
- To move the license to another domain, deactivate here, release the old domain under My Licenses on nexusplugins.com, then activate the new installation.
- An explicitly deauthorized installation needs Activate license again; a refresh alone does not reverse deauthorization.
When license access is unavailable
Established consent protection continues: the banner, blocking rules, and configured vendor consent signals keep working. Already configured Smart Embeds and consent-panel details also continue while the Pro plugin remains installed.
You can still read existing service, scan, health, and publication records, use available exports or printable reports, and undo or remove managed rules. New scans, rule publications, Health retests, licensed downloads, and enabling or reconfiguring Smart Embeds and consent-panel details wait for usable license access. Turning those presentation features off remains available.
A temporary licensing-service outage can use previously verified access for a bounded period. The screen explains the current state and Verified access ends deadline. Normal visitor requests do not contact the licensing service.
Troubleshooting
- Not activated: enter the key and activate this installation.
- Product mismatch: use a NexusConsent Pro key, not a key for another product.
- Domain mismatch or domain limit: check assigned domains in My Licenses before activating again.
- Service unavailable: check outbound HTTPS connectivity and refresh when the service is reachable.
- License manager unavailable: enable NexusConsent - Licensing and Updates, or repair the installation with the complete package.
- Consent engine incompatible: update or repair the complete package. License activation does not replace a missing consent engine.
Use the status and continuity message on the License screen to determine whether new licensed actions are currently available.
