NXCart is launching free first. Pro will follow once its flagship feature is ready, so there's nothing to buy here yet. This page is a preview of where Pro is heading — register your interest at nexusplugins.com and we'll tell you the moment it's live.
NXCart Pro will be the premium edition of NXCart: the same Joomla component you already run, plus a system plugin (plg_system_nxcartpro) that unlocks tools for stores that have outgrown a simple shop. Everything in the free edition stays free and is included.
The idea behind Pro
Free NXCart is built to run a complete, modern store — catalog, cart, checkout, payments, digital downloads, SEO. Pro is the next layer: the features a shop reaches for once it's making real money — recovering lost sales, selling across currencies and markets, and pricing for wholesale and bulk buyers. You only need Pro when your store has grown into it, which is exactly why it sits behind a license.
Leading the launch: abandoned cart recovery
The flagship Pro feature — and the one Pro will launch with:
- Abandoned cart recovery — automatic, opt-in email reminders that bring shoppers back to finish a checkout they left behind. Most small stores lose the majority of their carts before payment, and recovery is the single highest-impact way to win those sales back. Consent-first and GDPR-aligned by design.

- Multi-currency — show and charge in more than one currency, for stores selling across markets.
- Wholesale & tiered pricing — customer-group price lists and quantity-break discounts for B2B and bulk buyers.
